Pushbullet comes as an answer to many people's problems with transferring files such as images, a note, a list, a link or an address from one device to another. For someone like me who emails frequently, Pushbullet has been extremely useful and has stopped me needing to email things to myself just to move them from my computer to my phone/phone to my computer. To push items from your computer you'll need to either visit www.pushbullet.com and use your Google account to sign in or simply download the Google Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. When you push items you have the option to push to all your devices that have the app, just one specific device or your friends who also have the app.
But Pushbullet offers more than just allowing you to transfer files across devices and between friends, it also offers a Notification Mirroring Service. This means that if you're on your laptop, away from your phone/tablet, you can still see the notifications your device receives. This function also allows you to choose what specific app's notifications you want to be mirrored to your computer. Unfortunately, you can only view the notifications and not reply to them right there from the computer. But, even being able to know who's messaged/emailed you without having to actually grab your phone to check is very useful. Personally, I would rank this as one of the most useful apps of 2014 as it has actually solved a major problem that many people have been faced with for some time now. If you have some free memory on your phone (which you should unless you have an 8GB iPhone...) then download Pushbullet on iOS and Android!
