App of the Week - Android L Keyboard

Last week Google held their annual 'Google I/O' developer conference, similar to Apple's 'WWDC'. At their keynote event, Google announced their upcoming Android software-Android L-which will bring new features such as pop-up notifications, a modified lock screen, improved battery life and 'Material Design'.
The new Material Design is said to look both flat and 3D by making every animation and shadow look real.

Android L also features a new keyboard which has recently become a free stand-alone app in the Play Store. The keyboard is farely fluid but has the tendency to lag. It allows for swiping across letters to type and has some emoji, but a very limited amount compared to the number of emoji's offered by iPhone keyboards. The keyboard has a flat, minimalist design-influenced by Android L's material design.

  

This app is only available on Android, however with iOS 8 coming out this fall and supporting third-party keyboards, we could possibly see this app ported to the AppStore.
