There are many themers and launchers on the
Google Play Store that offer you a number of settings and features such as gestures, animations and the ability to hide apps to enhance your mobile experience. This app doesn't do that.
This week's app, Aviate, is a launcher designed to bring order and simplicity to those who need it. Recently acquired by Yahoo, Aviate, using GPS, can recognise when you're at home, work, or just out in general and show you the apps that you may need at that particular time. For example, if you plug in headphones to your device, Aviate recognises this and brings up apps installed on your device that are related to music such as the native music app or others like SoundCloud and Google Play Music - as if technology didn't make life easy enough!. As well as bringing up apps that you already have, Aviate also suggests apps from the same category that you may want to download.
Like most launchers, you can change the icons used by downloading icon packs to give your device a flatter, fresher look. The name of the icon pack below is
'Moonshine' which works with other launchers (e.g. Go Launcher, Apex, Nova, etc.) and has icons for most apps:
Aviate deviates from the primary objective of most Android launchers, which is to offer users the chance to thoroughly customise their device to their liking, as it instead offers a simpler, smarter, more routine design which can be very helpful for people who are regularly busy or constantly disorganised. You can download Aviate
here from the Play Store for Android devices only. I highly recommend it!
